According to paragraph 9 of the “Rules for the entry and stay of immigrants in the Republic of Kazakhstan”, approved by Decree of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 148 of January 21, 2012, individuals and legal entities that receive foreign citizens are required to notify the internal affairs bodies about immigrants staying in their country.

This notification must be submitted within three working days from the date of arrival of the foreign citizen.
If the specified period is missed and the internal affairs bodies are not notified of the immigrant’s stay, the individual and legal entity receiving in Kazakhstan will be held accountable under Article 518 of the Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Administrative Offences.
